Short game description:
Shuffle all the tiles and place them face down in the middle of the table. The starting player (e.g. the youngest player) turns over any tile and places it face up in front of them, within reach of the other players, creating their stack. The other players do the same on their turn. The turn proceeds clockwise. On their turn, the player places the turned tile on top of the one that is already face up, creating a stack in front of them. If the turned up tile or the one at the top of the stack is 1 higher or 1 lower than any top tile on any player’s stack, it is placed on that tile. The player’s turn continues until the next turned tile matches in this way.
When tile number 1 is turned up, it is placed in the middle of the table. When tile number 2 is revealed or is on top of the player taking the move, it is placed on 1 and so on until number 20. The finished stack is moved aside because it is no longer in play. If the newly revealed tile or the top of the stack matches more than one stack, it is placed first on the stack in the center, and then on any player’s stack. If a player does not notice the possibility of placing a tile in the center and places a tile on another player’s stack, they are a Donkey and must accept one tile from the top of the stack from each player, starting with the player next in line.
If the pool of covered tiles in the center runs out, to make a move, you must carefully turn your entire stack face down and reveal tiles from that covered stack. A donkey tile that is revealed at any time can only be placed on a tile with the number 20 belonging to any player (the donkey acts as number 21 but does not go into the piles in the center), similarly a tile with the number 20 can be placed on a tile with a donkey or on a tile with the number 19. If the number 19 is on the center pile, it should be placed on it. Otherwise, it is a mistake for which you receive a tile from the other players. The winner is the player who is the first to get rid of their tiles.
